With the information system widely used in key industries, business system continuity is more and more attention, the development of disaster recovery system becomes the focus area. Backup and Migration technology as the key technology of disaster recovery system has been a research hotspot, virtualization technology to address the disadvantage of traditional backup and migration technology provides a new means.The article discusses the status of backup and migration of technology development, focusing on describing the type of system virtualization and virtual machine disaster recovery applications the advantages of a profound analysis of the dynamic migration of virtual machine technology, focusing on real-time backup of virtual machines and dynamic migration issues, the main work as follows:Based on N+M business disaster recovery structures of research group, for virtual machine backup problem in distributed environment, advanced distributed virtual machine-based disaster recovery architecture, focusing on the principle of network buffer and external storage buffer, and then describes the real-time virtual machine backup process.For the need of virtual machine backup system, according to the different implementation techniques, real time backup technology of virtual machine is abstracted as three modes, and analyzed for their characteristics and the environment, finally, selected the continuous checkpoint model as implementation basis of virtual machine backup system.For disadvantage of Xen live migration technology in the field of business disaster recovery, deeply analyzed the traditional Xen live migration framework, advanced DRO live migration framework; to reduce the total migration time and downtime as the goal, designed HIT live migration algorithm and dirty pages reducer.The prototype system based on virtual machine is designed and implemented, deployed in the N+M business disaster recovery structure, tested the performance of HIT live migration algorithm and dirty pages reducer, the results meet the design aim.
