Nowadays, as competition among modern enterprises is increasing fiercely, the strategywhich can adjust the status of company to accommodate market demand is reasonablyaccepted as key factor for enterprises’survivals. As a result, it is convincingly that ever-biggerfirms realize the importance of Enterprise Informatization. ERP system, which is regarded asbe powerful mean to achieve Informatization, is widely adopted by diverse fields and makeshuge contribution. As one of largest bicycle chain supplier, KUI MENG CHAIN GROUP (shorted for KMCin following essay) takes70%share of global bicycle chain market. By fully implementing ofTPS Toyota management system, significant improvements in costing control and manageefficiency are achieved. In2008, when the global financial crisis broke out, under the pressureof both decreasing exporting rate and intensifying domestic competition, KMC decided torealize the information integration of business processes such as Purchasing, ManufacturingControl, Marketing and Operation Decision-making by promoting SAP system on the wholecompany scale. This essay, which takes KMC as the study object, will give further research about KMC’sSAP implementation process and approach from the aspect of financial and cost controlmodule (hereinafter referred to as the FICO module). As a leading international bicycle chainmanufactory, its SAP implementation method can be valuable reference for other domestic bicycle chain producers. Under this background, the following work is carried out:Firstly, making use of ASAP implementation methodology, the program implementationcan be divided into five phases including project preparation, business blueprint, realization, final prepare, go live&support.Secondly, three hardware servers-DEV, QAS, and PRD are erected. Each server willbuild multiple clients to complete the workflow including customizing, testing, and datamigration.Thirdly, in implementation phase of ‘business blueprint’ and ‘customizing’, throughtypical design of discrete manufacturing in the introduction of the SAP Best Practices(SAP/Best Practices, hereinafter referred to as the SAP/BP), the KMC Group’s operation flowcan be optimized and part of function module can be pre-configured. Then, build andcustomize the authorization matrix to address the needs of the of users’ option andmanagement.Fourthly, under the consideration of enterprise’s development, set a scalabilityorganizational structure in the SAP system, and customize financial module according to theresult of the survey.Fifthly, according to interface standard of Bank-Enterprise Interlink provided by thecommercial banks, the aim of real-time interaction between SAP and the commercial bankscan be achieved. For this point becoming more persuasive, this essay will cite an instance ofEDI between the KMC Group and the China Industrial and Commercial Bank, while providea detailed introduction of relevant solutions proposal and customizing methodology. This paper will discuss how to complete the implementation of FICO module in KMCproject through the methodology combined of the ASAP and SAP/BP. Furthermore, throughthe test of practice, the implementation method will be demonstrated to correspond with thecharacteristics of the group who would intend to promote SAP projects, because of the sameeffect of SAP program with the less time, lower risk and cost.
