In the era of information explosion, more and more information needs to be stored.Storage networking has become a focus of attention. As FCoE technology advanced to thedatacenter and its great benefits, it has important significance of researching FCoEtechnology and FCoE switches.This paper based on project in FCoE software system. When the FCoE switchnetwork composed of Fabric, it’s responsible for part of the initialization process. Thisprocess is called "Fabric Configuration" in protocol. It mainly refers to the stage fromaccomplishment of link initialization process to the assignment of DomainID is completedand switch in Fabric successful connected together. Contents of the study include how torespond to link UP, DOWN event, create and delete VSAN, how to configure in VSAN inorder to influence "Fabric Configuration" process, how to achieve the results of protocolby show command, how to notify event to other process and Fabric state machine which isclosely related with the protocol running. State machine has been optimized. The mergerof states reduces the complexity of software design. The paper focuses on the startup ofthe daemon process and the implementation of the core sub-modules in daemon process.In addition, key technologies and strategies used in project are provided. Strategy aboutdistributed design in this paper has a certain value.Along period of testing and certification prove the software system feasible andstable. Distributed program allows the system has high reliability. It can successfullycomplete the "Fabric Configuration" process. The stress tests found no features andperformance deficiencies.
