As the development of biomedical technology and computer technology, ontologytechnology has been used in the field of biomedicine to organize and process these massbiomedical information, ahd it has formed various types of biomedical ontologies. And thegene and disease information of human in these existent biomedical ontologies is almostseparated, the gene ontology mainly describes gene information alone, while the diseaseontology is restricted to express specific disease information. But there have direct orindirect relations between gene and disease. It is a crucial problem in the research ofbiomedical ontology that how to well mine the congruent relationship of human gene anddisease.According to it, this thesis research the fusing and visualizing method of human geneand disease information in biomedical ontologies. The work specifically includes threeparts:1) Research the fusing method of human gene and disease. This method obtainsgene, disease ontology and other information for NCBI and NCBO, and analyses thesedata structure, then uses content matching two times to fuse gene and disease information.2) Design the bidirectional search method for these fusing information, and provide theconvenient search interface.3) Research the visualizing method of disease ontology. Thismethod uses the prefuse technology based on Java, and realizes a dynamic graphicaldisplay and interactive control. It improves the readability and intelligibility of the diseaseontology. This thesis designs and implements the biomedical ontology fusing and visualizingsystem. It realizes the fusion of human gene and disease, the search of these fusinginformation, and the visualization of disease ontology in biomedical ontologies. After thesystem test, it verifys that the system satisfys design requirements of the system. Theachievement of this thesis has great value for studies of relationship between human geneand disease.
