The common existing software for the analysis of electromagnetic field are extremelyexpensive and demand high technology for the technician. Besides, they are short of closecontact with actual production of domestic motor manufacturers. Therefore, planning anddesigning CAD software is of importance which should be practicable, convenient and wellconnected with domestic motor manufacturers.In this paper, the research is based upon the joint project between HuazhongUniversity of Science and Technology and a company. The parameter optimal design andsoftware integration technologies in the motor mechanical and electromagnetical designwere worked up in detail. According to the enterprise’s physical situation,the motor designmanagement platform was developed which includes parameters input and scheme outputhuman-computer interface, file, run, tools, output, help, note and some other menu functionkeys. The platform can check and design electromagnetic scheme and simulate some basicperformances of motor. Moreover, it has provided needed materials database and somedemagnetization curves of permanent magnet. As a result,the enterprise has realized theefficiency enhancement, quality improvement, and customer demands satisfactions quickly.The mathematical model of motor is a multi-goal, multivariable and nonlinear problem.Optimization algorithm of motor has been discussed in this paper. Thus, a good foundationhas been laid for further studies on Optimization algorithm of motor. The paper mainlymakes use of ANSOFT to optimize a single phase asynchronous motor used for aircondition. Firstly, the model of the motor has been setup in ANSOFT and then the motorhas been optimized by optimetrics function in ANSOFT. Optimization results proved to bereliable, and the motor optimization has briefly discussed and studied.
