Recently, more and more attention are paid to the spacial transient optical signaldetection technology research. The spacial transient optical signal include ordinarylightning, super lightning signal and all kinds of cosmic nuclear explosion signal.Making the long-term and large range surveillance and location to these signal,comprehensive mastering and analyzing the character and regular, doing well theprediction and prevention is extremely useful to the special sensor research andcountry safety defense, meteorological prediction.The system of a spacial transient optical signal location is an important part ofthe system of the special transient optical signal detection including transient energydetection system and location system. The energy detection system is used toeliminate interference, extract signal feature, identify signal energy and trig locationsystem to operate. After detected the target signal, location system make preciseposition of the target signal, and send the final result to the slave computer。According to short time and image characteristics of the optical signal, wedeveloped a fast processing algorithm of optical signal orientation image, anddesigned and realized the embedded hardware plat employing DSP and FPGA. Thedesigned system utilizes parallel pipeline technology, so that the data acquisition,image pre-processed, and image located can be fulfilled simultaneously.The raw image data at the bottom is very large, and requirement of processingspeed is very high, but arithmetic structure is relatively simple, so that the system usesAPA600FPGA and VHDL language to describe, and compile and simulate in theLibero8.0environment. The image Signal data at the top is relatively small, butarithmetic, formulas and control structure is complex, so the system usesTMS320C6701DSP to realize the fast target precise location.Simulate experiment shows the designed system operates stable. To process theoptical signal image of experimental simulation, the system clock reaches to120MHz,and have the real–time processing ability, and satisfies design.requirement...
