The digital radiography technology is widely used in electronic industry. Manydomestic electronic factories are exigent of a kind of digital X-ray imaging systemwith high resolution and low cost. The dissertation is aimed to develop a kind ofdigital radiography technology using for the real time X-ray imaging system.The purport and the actuality of the research is introduced at first. Then theprinciple of X-ray production is recommend. The interactions between X-ray andsubstance are analysed. The operating principle of different kinds of X-ray imageintensifiers is introduced. And the methods used for digital radiography aresummarized.Aimed at the request of the research subject, the imaging system based onMCP-X-ray image intensifier is studied. The structure and operating principle of theimaging system are analyzed,and the mathematical model is deduced. According tothe contrast between the theoretical resolution and the measured one, the factorswhich degrade the performance the imaging system are analyzed.The images produced by the system based on MCP-X-ray image intensifier oftenhave some defects. The noise is big, the dynamic range is not wide enough andnonuniformity is notable. Aimed at the defects, the X-ray image processing algorithmsare studied. The random noise is removed through frame integral algorithm. Aimed towiden the dynamic range, an algorithm based on multiresolution analysis is raised.Two X-ray images with different tube voltages are fused through digital wavelettransform to extend the dynamic range of the single one.The experimental results show that the imaging system based on MCP-X-rayimage intensifier developed here could meet the need of the electronic industry.
