With the development of computer technology, the virtual technology is playing animportant role in the medical field.Virtual surgical cutting is an important part of thevirtual surgery system, and most of the human tissue is soft tissue, so to simulate softtissue cutting becomes more impotant. At present, domestic and foreign scholars haveconducted a series of studies and also achieved certain results. Therefore, the realsimulation of the skin soft tissue arbitrary cutting has a theoretical and practicalsignificance.Firstly, according to the physical characteristics of the skin and the comparison of themodeling approach, we use mass-spring model of the surface of the skin surfacemodeling.The establishment of an intermediate portion is flat,and the peripheral portion ofa certain degree of curvature and herght of the skin embedded in the human body model,soit looks like a three-dimensional. It not only can achieve the effect of the body model, butalso to reduce the amount of calculation, and to improve the rendering speed.Secondly, adaptive subdivision mesh cut point exists in order to improve the accuracyof the simulation of the cuts in the cutting area to determine the breakdown of the numberof times according to the needs of users, and the point of tangency is delineated in a smallgrid subdivided; and copied in accordance with the improved vertex small grid cut movingalgorithm to replace mobile to last connection cut to form a smooth cuts, you can reducethe error caused by the tangent point moves and improve the accuracy.Thirdly, in order to improve the cutting effect, we add a different depth of the particlebelow any cuts in real-time, and linked to the particle of the cut marks both sides to formany depth cuts, and the same position repeated cutting also comes ture; and we use particlesystem to simulate the bloody when cutting the skin, each cut point distribution of a groupof blood particles, and the properties of the blood particles are randomly assigned toreflect the flow of the blood; and adopt the law of cosines and similar triangles method tosimulate the blood particle fusion phenomenon, to enhace the realism of bloodshedsimulation.Finally, by using VC++, OpenGL and Cg on Windows platform, we design a realistic arbitrary cutting of the skin soft tissue simulaton system to validate the effectiveness of themethods proposed. The experimental results show that our algorithms can truly efficientand accurate simulate the arbitrary depth dimensional cutting of the skin soft tissue, whichthe deformation and bleeding phenomena simulation more realistic.
