Experiment is an indispensable part in education. It plays a very important role in moderneducation. It is really important for a student to have the capability of experimenting, of solvingproblems and of innovating. However, the situation of experiment in college can’t fit foreducational innovation. In distance education, due to the fact that educational institution andstudents are separated in space, students can not do real experiments in laboratories. Experimentson web only provide some texts, pictures and videos, for students to look at, which is more of ahindrance than a help for cultivating students’ studying and innovating capability.The rapid development of computer and network technology makes it possible to constructweb-based virtual experiment system. It can expand the teaching time and space and maketeaching more efficiently. Web-based virtual experiment system is not only a supplement toclassroom teaching, but also a new vigor to be infused into long-distance experiment teaching.Now it is a hotspot question, which is worth being well studied.This thesis analyzes the researches of web-based virtual laboratory at home and abroad,concludes the trends and the weaknesses of current studies, puts forward the viewpoint thatvarious operational interaction technologies should be blended to build web-based virtualexperiment system. Through the Flash soft to develop, and concrete example is very important toexperiment design model. Now the following chapters:In chapter one, an analysis is given for domestic experiment teaching setting. The significanceof studying web-based virtual experiment system is being put forward. After citing the researchesof web-based virtual experiment system at home and abroad, the thesis presents a developmenttrend of web-based virtual experiment system, concludes the weakness of current studies.In chapter two, some concepts of web-based virtual experiment system are being defined.Some kinds of virtual laboratories are also being proposed. The thesis introduces the theoreticbasis of putting web-based virtual experiment system into experiment teaching.In chapter three, a view is proposed that some technologies should be combined together byanalyzing some correlative technology of developing web-based virtual experiment system. Allkinds of different interaction technologies are confirmed to develop web-based virtual experimentsystem in this thesis.In chapter four, a module to operate web-based virtual experiment system is researched. The thesis introduces the whole aim, principle, main module, the architecture of virtual experimentsystem, accessing manner, and the soft communication architecture. The system is mainlydesigned by HTML, ASP,Flash soft and Access database, meanwhile, sum up the special pointsof the virtual experiment system.In chapter five, the questionnaire analysis the kinds operational interaction of virtualexperiment system,come true the premise of the spread.In the last chapter, a summary and a prospect are given. This thesis only accomplishes thebasic framework of web-based virtual experiment system and a part of functions. And furtherresearches in this field, especially in concurrent working are needed.
