With the high-paced and rapid development of modern industrial production, themachine vision technology has been more and more widely used. Due to the designof the traditional machine vision is more complicated, the domestic products are shortof specificity and so on. This subject will achieve the research and development ofEthernet monochrome linear array CCD industrial camera, which mainly aims at theapplication of the color sorter and the bar diameter measuring and uses FPGA to beits core processor.The primary research of the subject is made up of the optical system design andthe hardware and software design of the image acquisition, processing andtransmission based on FPGA.The optical system design consists of three major parts: the illumination opticalsystem, the optical imaging system and the selection and installation of lens. Usingthe LED as the illumination, and choosing the Cora lighting system as theillumination system. Using the object telecentric beam path for the lens, andanalysing the corresponding optical parameters. Selecting the appropriate lens, anddesigning the pedestal for lens installation.This subject adopts Altera’s Cyclone III FPGA EP3C25Q240C8as the coreprocessor to supply the drive signal for the chips such as the image sensor and tocomplete the design of image noise removal processing, Ethernet communicationand Camera link interface. It selects Toshiba’s monochrome linear CCD TCD1209Das the image sensor, uses ADI’s dedicated image signal sampling chip AD9945forthe image acquisition and conversion, and verifiys the feasibility of the acquisitionmodule whit the VGA monitor. It adopts the improved median filtering algorithm forremoving the image noise. It also designs the communication module of the systembased on the Ethernet and Camera link protocol and the RS485interface for thecamera remote control.Each of the module has been researched and designed. The hardware and softwarecan both work properly after debugging those modules. Therefore, the expected target of this subject is basically realised.
