Tea drying is a important step in the tea manufacture and at the same time it isalso the biggest energy consume in the process. Current tea dryer directly dischargedhot moisture which produced in the process of drying tea into the air. Energyutilization rate is not high. Not only waste a lot of energy but also cause pollution tothe environment. It seriously limits the development of tea industry. In order toimprove the situation, a kind of energy-saving tea dryer is in urgent need to design topromote the development of the tea industry. The heat-exchanger is an energy-savingdevice which widely used in the industrial production process. It can recycle wasteheat that is produced from the industrial production equipment, and it also canimprove equipment energy utilization ratio. So the heat-exchanger can be used in thetea dryer to realize energy conservation. The current heat exchanger equipment wasoften produced leak and scaling. So in order to ensure its normal work, the operationcondition of heat exchanger is needed to real-time monitoring. The existingmonitoring system had many shortcomings such as high cost, cumbersome to install,difficult to program and exchange of information with peripherals. And it wasgetting more and more difficult to meet the needs of production, so the research ofmonitoring system is necessary.The object of this dissertation is the type of6CHZ-7case tea dryer, the researchwork include:(1) The article designed a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, innovated to put it tothe case typed tea dryer which was most widely used at present, and designed a kindof energy-saving tea dryer. In the process of drying, hot moisture which produced bythe energy-saving tea dryer was discharged after the heat exchanger recovery of wasteheat. Increasing the energy utilization ratio and at the same time reducing thepollution to the environment.(2) According to the drawbacks of the existing heat exchanger monitoring system,this paper designed a new monitoring system which based on LabVIEW. This systemcan complete the task that it can monitor the inlet temperature of heat exchanger,velocity and pressure of the heat transfer pipelines. These parameters can ensure the efficiency of heat exchanger, check heat exchanger whether has the leakage and needto clean, ensure the exchanger can run normally.Field contrast test was conducted between energy-saving dryer and ordinarydryer. The contrast test results suggest that compared to ordinary tea dryer theenergy-saving tea dryer reduced power consumption by37%. The efficiency of heatexchanger has reached the65%.The monitoring system based on LabVIEW ran well,it was commendably show the performance parameters of the heat exchanger, theresults are acceptable.
