Not only has Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) became one of the important research fieldsat home and abroad, but also it’s hailed as one of new technologies which have the mostdevelopment potential.In the field of WSN, routing protocol is a key technology. Its performance directly affectsthe service life and the efficiency of the whole network. So in this paper, the first research pointis trying to analyze several routing protocols widely applied at present time and summering theiradvantages and disadvantages. Then, this paper deeply researches the protocol of Low-EnergyAdaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH). LEACH is a self-organized, self-adaptive andenergy-efficient cluster network protocol. Many famous protocols were developed from LEACH.This paper especially focuses on several aspects of LEACH such as its main idea, clusterformation system and model of communication in and between clusters. Some shortages ofLEACH are also pointed out in this paper. Based on above analysis, this paper puts forward animproved algorithm based on LEACH which takes nodes’ remaining energy and the distancebetween node and the base station as cluster head nodes’ selection basis. Through MATLABsimulation, it’s proved that the improved routing protocol A_LEACH indeed prolongs theWireless Sensor Network’s service life and promotes the reliability of information collectioncompared to LEACH.Wireless Sensor Network’s various advantages make it widely used in many fieldsincluding military, medical care, industry, environmental monitoring, etc. This paper appliedWSN into wired access control system and proposed a solution to wireless access control systembased on the newly developed ZigBee technology. ZigBee protocol which based on the standardIEEE802.15.4is a safe and short-distance wireless network communication technology with lowcost, low power consumption, low data transmission rate, huge network capacity, automaticnetworking and reliable data transmission. It’s especially suitable to WSN. This paper designsand develops the wireless sensor nodes for the Wireless Sensor Network, programs to realize theprotocol of access control communication, adopts the wireless sensor nodes, deploys and debugs each node according to the role it plays in the Wireless Sensor Network, constructs the testplatform and eventually realizes wireless monitoring of access control system.
