This paper design a image processing system using DSP and FPGA processors,which is inserted in personal computer through PCI interface. DSP transmits image and controlling commands from PC to FPGA and save image data captured by FPGA to PC;In FPGA.we generate I2C controller using verilog to configure video codec, the board can automatically identify the resolution of video source and be able to capture image data and implement gray-scale transformation, OSD(on screen display), image scaling and other processing, and then produce analog and digital images.The capture and display system is a high-performance video image processing system and can be used in video surveillance systems and TV tracking systems.
