In the detection of weak optical signal, the Boxcar is one of the most important sensitivity detection methods fellow single-photon counting.In this paper, the principle of Boxcar was researched depthly, a sampling integrator detection system was designed based on virtual instrument technology. The main contents are follows:The noise theory of weak signal detection was analized, several commonly used methods of weak signal detection were compared; The result of the weak signal mixed with noise through two methods of Boxcar was compared.integral method for weak after the two ways of sampling the integral processingto compare results; Used of Lab VIEW virtual instrument techno logy;The design and experimental studies of the Boxcar were completed.Experimental study include:the weak signals with the noise were entered program of scanning Boxcar,we can see the waveform was restored to be better and better by increase the sampling times,increase the number of waveforms,reduce the noise mean,and it wasreflected by calculate of SNIR; The weak signals with the noise were entered program of fixed-point type Boxcar, reduce noise mean waveform is getting better and better recovery, and reflected signal to noise ratio calculation; will be mixed with a weak noise signal input to the designated sampling points program, the amplitude of the signal was approached the signal amplitude of enter by sampling the increase times.
