High repetition rate electro-optic Q-switched lasers pumped by continuous LD have been widely used in a lot of fields, such as has been widely used in a lot of fields, such as military and national defense, laser micro-machining, and so on. This thesis is mainly to research the output characters of high repetition rate and narrow pulse width laser from the theory and experiment, the main idea is divided into four parts:1. Based on the four-level Q-switched rate equation, combined with the condition of continuous pump, obtain the relationship among the repetition rate of Q-switch laser, peak power, pulse width and single pulse energy.2. Designed the structure of adhesive-free bond (AFB) double end composite Nd:YVO4crystal, which improved the storage energy effect of upper level and reduced the thermal effect. Designed LD continuous pump RTP electro-optic Q-switch, and working voltage was achieved;3. Combined with the result of measure double end composite Nd:YVO4crystal thermal lens focal length, design and optimization the parameters of cavity resonator. According to the relationship of directional distribution between pump light and oscillation light, calculated the optimally lens coupled rate is1:1.25. Simulated the characters of TEMoo output about plane-plane cavity and plane-concave cavity;4. On the basis of theoretical research above, we design continuous LD pumped high repetition rate RTP electro-optical Q-switched laser. In E-O Q-switched operation, pulse width of10.55ns,13.10ns and16.65ns, peak power of8.44kW,4.70kW and2.89kW are obtained at repetition rates of100kHz,150kHz and200kHz, respectively. The average output power is11.92W when operate at200kHz repetition rate, the optical-optical efficiency is47.7%, the dynamic and static ratio is above90%, the peak-to-peak fluctuations of pulse amplitude is less than6.4%, furthermore the Mx2-1.087and My2-1.102are obtained when average output power is9.62W.
