The Realization And Optimization Of Superior Evaluation Management System For University Students Affairs Division

The superior evaluation refers to the assessment and selection of scholarship andexcellent students in universities.Most students are five-year college students in writer’s university. Each year,each class will select the excellent students and assess the scholarship. Furthermore,the amount is higher and higher, and the leaders and students pay more attention tothe evaluation work, which becomes a very important section in university studentswork. However, the current superior evaluation system is still the manual workwithout electronic. It is rather complicated because it should be consideredcomprehensively. The writer has been involved in the assessment work, feeling that itis really large with low efficiency and it is easy to make mistakes.In order to reduce the amount of work, improve the efficiency and accuracy,realize scientificity and objectivity during the process, the writer decides to develop asuperior evaluation management system to make it go smoothly for students affairsdivision. And for the problem that the evaluation indexes and weights are not unifiedin universities, the system is further optimized to improve its generality by addingevaluation indexes and weights functions. Thus the system meets the needs of bothpresent students affairs division and the future. It not only meets the needs in thewriter’s university but also can be popularized in other universities.This project mainly takes VFP9.0as the tool to develop superior evaluationmanagement system for students affairs division. The project uses a series of usabilityengineering methods, and makes the user-centered design concept involved in theentire process of research. There are mainly three parts in the research: First, withmethods such as documentary method and case study method, the writer reads a lot of relevant literature, analyzes similar systems and draws a general conclusion andrelated background knowledge; and then, after the investigation of the real demand ofthe stuff in students affairs division both in writer’s university and other universities,the writer analyzes situations, summarizes them carefully and accordingly gets itsfeasibility analysis report and the requirement specifications. By prototyping method,he looks for and selects proper development tool and technology to achievepreliminary development that is to realize basic functions of superior evaluationmanagement system for students affairs division; finally, the writer tests andoptimizes the preliminary system to make further improvement.The system reduces the amount of work in students affairs division, improveswork efficiency and accuracy, realizes scientificity and objectivity during the processand achieves the expected effect.
