With the rapid development of Intelligent Television, the functions of Internet,Game and others have become an indispensable part of it. Therefore, previousremote controller is equipped with keys and transceiver modules, which isobviously not satisfied by users any more. In this paper, it’s described the principleand characters of MEMS Inertial Sensor which is included with MEMS Gyroscopeand MEMS Accelerometer. Due to the characters of MEMS Inertial Sensor, it’sapplied to the Intelligent Remote Control System. In this way, the remotecontroller can identify motions and gestures besides its basic functions, in otherwords, it can be used as the air-mouse and game-handler.There’re two main purposes in this paper. The one is to research the principleand other relevant knowledge of MEMS Inertial Sensor. The other is to applyMEMS Inertial Sensor to the Intelligent Remote Control System, with the respectof which can realize the function of control for Intelligent Television.The main contains of this paper are as follows: Firstly, it’s described thecurrent situation and the development orientation of MEMS Inertial Sensor.Secondly, it’s introduced the general design of the Intelligent Remote ControlSystem. In this part, it’s described and analyzed each module of the system, suchas keyboard modules, transceiver modules, MEMS Inertial Sensor modules and soon. Thirdly, it’s described the performance of the chips in the remote system aswell as the circuit connection with MEMS Inertial Sensor board, the specificrealization of the Intelligent Remote Control System is also mentioned.As the important part, data processing of MEMS Inertial Sensor is describedwith data calibration, data fusion, motion detect, bias offset and update, motion direction detect and so on. In this way, it’s improved the availability and usabilityof sensor data, which works on the property of Remote Control System.
