Currently, owing to the large drift of MEMS gyroscope, the accuracy of the micro inertial navigation system, which is composed of MEMS gyro and accelerometer, is very low, and the micro inertial navigation system can't be used alone. Compared to the MEMS gyroscope, the precision of the MEMS accelerometer is higher, a gyro-free inertial navigation system only with the MEMS accelerometer is proposed to replace the MINS system.The purpose of the project is to design theresearch of gyroscope free strapdown inertial technology based on MEMS accelermoter, It can collect 6 high precision MEMS acceleration which is placed at the non center of mass in this GFINS through the hardware platform to measure angular motion information instead of MEMS gyro, and ultimately through the DSP solver to realize the navigation positioning attitude.First of all, the article introduced the theoretical basis of GFINS, according to the accelerometer information at the non center of mass, the carrier centroid speed over the ground and angular velocity of rotation around the centroid vector can be obtained. This paper uses FPGA to complete the MEMS acceleration signal acquisition,and the FPGA pecircuit is specially designed And get the carrier posture will be obtained by navigation solution The navigation solution will be finished by DSP .Then, we can design the overall scheme and and select the main devices after the completion of the work the hardware circuit is designed, finally the feasibility of navigation solution is verified Finally, it comes to the design to the software part of the system, software design section includes the programming of each module, And ultimaty desgin of this project research of gyroscope free strapdown inertial technology based on MEMS accelermoter can basically achieve the purpose of navigation.
