With the rapid development of Internet technology and the widespreaduse of computers, P2P technology is becoming increasingly popular, andhas become one of hot technology in international computer networktechnology research field. A growing number of P2P softwares, such asNapster, Gnutella, Bit Torrent, Skype, Tencent QQ and so on, releasedand soon became popular, which had proved the success of using P2PComputing technology. Currently, popular software based on P2Ptechnology includesfile sharing, distributed computing, and instantmessenger services.Chat room is mainly used to make a large number of users to instantcommunication. The system provides the user the unified login mode. Thedesign and implementation of instant communication system in theexisting IM software foundation, according to the company and the actualneeds of the enterprise development of software products. The system ismainly based on Windows NT/XP operating system according to objectoriented design method, the system will only some simple user information(including user ID, user friend list, the user’s IP address) storedat Server end of Access database, other data are placed in the user’sown Client end. The system enables a user to point to point communicationand multiple communication. This paper is talking about the chat software based on P2P technologyand using JXTA frame, and then discuss the technology of design andimplement details. Firstly, this paper discusses system required details, and then compares many possible proposals and methods. Secondly, discussthe design of creating and maintaining dynamic user list. Moreover, discuss the technology help to cross the firewall and NAT reversal inP2P environment. Finally, accomplish chat software using JXTAtechnology.
