With the advancement of P2P applications, JXTA has become an important open source project, and it brings the possibility of unify the platform of P2P application system. As a P2P development framework, it defines a series of public protocols which implemented P2P framework related algorithm. It supports many kinds of network protocol such as HTTP, TCP, buletooth and etc, and is high extensionable.However, for various reasons, JXTA also faces with many challenges, such as router performance problem, security, system behavior and etc. These problem and the complexity of JXTA framework result in the difficulty of the implement of JXTA application, and arrest the development of JXTA. However, there is no omnifaceted analysis to JXTA network performance. For these reasons, it is a high priority task to monitor and analysis for improving JXTA framework's performance.This paper begin with the analysis of traditional network monitor and mesure technology,then study the features of JXTA network and framework, analyse its problem, choose the key parameter of measurement, design availiable network monitor solution. The main research of this paper includes:i. The analysis of traditional network monitor technology: The network monitor solution in this paper draw much lesson from traditional network monitor technology, and made some improvement to accommodate P2P network. ⅱ. Analysis of JXTA network feafures and its problems: The analysis of JXTA network is the basement of the monitor parameter choosing and measure solution in this paper. It is for improve JXTA network that we monitor JXTA, so this analysis is really important.ⅲ. The feature of netflow and pipes, measure choosing: Netflow and Pipes' performance analysis are key evidence of JXTA performance. The analysis to JXTA netflow feature and compare it with the feature of traditional network is effective way to find the shortage of JXTA network.ⅳ. The feature analysis of RVP part and its monitor parameter choosing: Rendezvous Peer play a key role in the node agregation, network maintenance and network search in JXTA network.ⅴ. The feature of search mechanism and its measure parameter choosing: JXTA's search mechanism bases on the "super-node" architecture, so it is closely realted with the RVP strategy, and it is also affected by the hash algorithm. Because of that, monitor searching can provide key evidence to RVP and Hash algorithm's improvement.ⅵ. The implement of the database and GUI part: Database provide data storage service, while the GUI part can provide data and analysis result directly to end users.
