In this paper,a computer control and automation instrumentation comprehensive experiment platform(hereinafter referred to as the experimental platform) was researched and designed.And on the experimental platform,we researched the application technology of PID neural network.This experimental platform is composed of experimental control object,experimental console (intelligent instruments,sensors) and monitoring PC machine. The device based on the needs of users can be designed as control system such as computer control or automation control instrumentation. It can be used as experimental device for undergraduate and specialist vocational courses, but also provides a physical object simulation and experiment platform of the research of complex control system and advanced control system for teachers,graduate students and scientific research personnel The experimental platform which is embedded in the conventional PID algorithm and PID neural network control algorithm realizes the related courses and experimental requirements, and adopts the MCGS (Monitor and Control Generated System),which is industrial control configuration software. All hardware and software aspects of the experimental platform are open to users,so that students can not only complete the experiments but also can carry out deeper intelligent control research and practice by the experimental platform.In the practical engineering, the method of PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control which is also known as the PID regulation is most widely used. In addition, the structural characteristics determine its limitations. It can get good control effect only in the simple linear univariate system, but ineffective in the complex systems. PID neural network is proposed by Professor Shu Huailin in1997, which is made of proportional neural, integral neural and differetial neural,it possesses the advantages of PID law and neural network, and shows good control performance in the complex systems. PID neural network which is especially suitable for complicated control system overcomes the shortcomings of the method of the traditional control and the general neural network. Existing research of PID neural network is mainly theoretical and computer simulation, as well as some application of simple control system.But there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive study in the the application of complex control system still.In this paper,we focuse on the specific application of PID neural network.Based on studying it,we used the experimental platform to do the temperature controlling experiment,liquid level controlling experiment and flow pressure controlling experiment. Finally,we obtain the conclusion that the variable controlling effect through the method of PID neural network is better than the traditional PID control.
