Fire plays an important role in the stage of human development, it brought light, warmand progress to human. With the development of human civilization, the wealth of societygradually increase, fire also brought a lot of grief and suffering to human. Fire is a disastercaused burning out of control in time and space. In a variety of disasters, fire is one of themajor disasters, which endanger human life and property, and hinder the development ofsociety.Fire prevention is an important task. In fire prevention, fire detector is a very importantpart. Fire detector is one of the most basic and critical components in the automatic fire alarmand automatic fire extinguishing system. It monitors the protected areas continuously. Itaccurately detects the parameters in time, which may cause fires in the initial stage, and warnsto us. Its quality is directly related to people’s lives and property. Therefore, it is of greatimportance to perform performance appraisal, and conclude the parameters of the firedetector.In this work, the infrared flame detector performance comprehensive test platform isaimed at IUR761-II infrared flame detector. This system is suitable to the performance test ofpoints-based infrared flame detector with the wavelength range of4.2μm~4.7μm. Itprovides the infrared detection illuminant, which is needed by the detector, can detect theresponse threshold, azimuth, repeatability, consistency, response time, ambient lightinterference and other parameters. In this dissertation, we begin with the flame characteristicsand the principle of flame detection device, then discuss and design a test platform of infraredflame detector. The topic of this thesis will focus on the flame characteristics, the principle offlame detection device, and the detection method of detector parameters. In addition, thispaper introduces the design of function module test platform in detail, including illuminant,filter control, data collection. Ultimately, using the VC++program, the entire detectionsystem is controled, the detection task is completed, the experimental results and analysis aregiven.
