Design And Implementation Of Online Examination System Based On UML

The online examination system was being paid more attention with the development of thenetwork system in many colleges and relevant examination institutions. For online examinationsystem overturned the traditional ways of examination, the test was not restricted by the limit ofthe examination hall and the examination time. Some examine work such as the exammanagement, score statistic and query become high efficient and quick, so many collegesurgently needs to corresponding online examination system.Although some ready-made onlineexamination system on the market can be immediately used, some existing in the test can’t adaptto college specific needs because of the different institution,the examination requirements,management methods, network development in colleges.So the development of some onlineexamination system which applied in the characteristics of the college demands is deadlypractical and significant.For the specific needs of online examination system, it is a challeging job to choose certaintools and methods in design of research and development in a personalized on-line examinationsystem according to the needs of the users. Research and develop the online exam systemframework which is adapt to its current management level and easy to operation andmanagement based on a college which is medium size, lack of standardization in examinationmanagement, common network application level, a series of problems in score registration andquery with artificial way. This thesis combined UML with RUP to applied to the on-lineexamination system development and design. According to the development process of key workflow regulating RUP online system, it can be mainly divided into system requirement analysis,system overall design, software design, database design and implementation stages, then useUML to describe the analysis result of each stages.The thesis analyses the background and significance of online examination system on the first, briefly reviews the foreign and domestic research status, In the below give a systematicgeneral outline of the study on using the UML and the RUP technology and the principle ofgenerating test paper system. On this basis, according to the characteristics of this project, thestudy give a great emphasis on the analysis of the functional requirements of the onlineexamination system, data requirements, performance requirements and security requirements,then build use case model and construct the system analysis model based on UML, design database and form a integral overall system design framework. Taking Windows2003Server, IIS6.0as the development platform and using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server2000, ASP．NETtechnology, C#language to design and develop the system in detail. It realizes the systemrequirements for the function of user management, examination management, exam poolmanagement, test score query management and so on, which are solved the test managementproblems about networks with no paper test and highly efficient administrative system.
