At present, the state coal mine safety production emphasis has increased to unprecedented heights, but mine production safety accidents often occur, and after the accident, poor rescue and disaster relief exposed to a large extent in the current monitoring system, such as the mine staff to manage it is difficult to manage the staff and can not be real mine environment changes.This paper intend to resolve the above issues, describes the wireless sensor network technology as a platform to realize Mine Monitoring System Design and Implementation. This system consists of data acquisition subsystem, data processing subsystem and the ground control center. The data acquisition subsystem acquisition of mobile sensor terminal to collect data, then sends the data to the data processing subsystem, which complete the analysis of the data processing, and finally send the results to the management subsystem, then complete the monitoring of the mine working environment, and also can be realized on the underground important instruments for real-time monitoring and predict accident.In this paper, the major content is as follows:Firstly, use OPM15wireless communication technology used in mine monitoring system, then reduce the probability of occurrence of gas explosion and greatly reduced the casualties, and also can be monitoring the mining area and communication in real time,so improve the efficiency of rescue after the accident, the economic losses will have reached a minimum.Secondly, miners handheld device design adopts the MS9S08DZ60controller as the data processing core and combination with wireless RF module OPM15, the microprocessor process the data which come from gas sensor, the sent by OPM15, So that each hand-held devices have the ability of data acquisition processing and wireless communication to ensure the gas concentration of the mine environment be sent in real-time.Third, the software of miners hand-held devices include toxic gas detection processing section, wireless RF transceiver module, LCD display part as well as sound and light alarm components; the software initialization process is essentially single machine,OPM15chip,gas sensor,LCD display and A/D conversion;the system power consume design also through software, such as switch MCU and OPM15’s work module.Fourth, the data communication collection processing part using GPRS and GPS, this part is the bridge of the mine working area and the monitoring center,its main function is collect mine gas information together with its positioning information then sent to central monitoring center.Fifth, finalize the programming of the central monitoring center, the monitoring center run on windows operating system, using the C#language,compiler environment is VS2008; In the monitoring center platform can be dynamic monitoring the mining area’s environment situation in real-time.
