In recent years, with the rapid development of internet technology and network technologycontinues to expand to the family field, consumer electronics, computer and communication (3C)integration becomes increasingly apparent, embedded system has once again become a hotresearch and application topic of embedded systems. The development space of embeddedsystem technology has become more broad and the embedded courses have also been more andmore popular to students of all ages. But many schools due to the restrictions of teachinglaboratory equipment, the comprehensive and practical ability of students often unable to meetmarket requirements, students have difficulties in employment, while enterprises are alsodifficult to find real talent.In this paper, the design of the experimental system aims to provide students with aprogressive learning approach, divided into basic experiments, comprehensive experiments andinnovative experiment three levels, with the students gain the theoretical knowledge at the sametime improve their software development capabilities and comprehensive design capabilities, andfor those students interested in and want to make self-improvement, provide an innovativeplatform to develop their comprehensive quality and practical ability, to make it morecompetitive in the future learning and work.This paper first introduces the status and trends of the research background and significanceof embedded teaching experimental systems, the status and trends of the embedded systems, thesuperiority of embedded systems makes universities put more and more attention to theembedded systems class, embedded teaching experimental systems has broad marketapplications prospects. Next, introduced the overall design of the embedded experimental teaching system and the overall hardware Architecture, and the platform based on the dual-coreprocessors of GM8180. Finally, from the basic experiments, comprehensive experiments andinnovative experiments three levels introduces the experimental design and implementation ofthe experimental system. The basic experiments provide students with a detailed experimentalprogram, the main purpose is to make the students in-depth understand of the basic methods ofthe theory and knowledge, learn system development tool and process oriented and etc. Thecomprehensive experiment began to develop students’ practical consciousness, provide studentswith a certain amount of play space, to enhance students’ software development capabilities andcomprehensive capacity. At last, the innovative experiment is to develop students’ ability ofengineering practice, to provide students with a broad space for innovation, through their ownspecial research and practice, to improve the overall quality to meet the social needs.
