| With China’s remarkable development of economic, accelerating process of urbanizationand motorization, which triggered a series of problems such as traffic congestion, energyconsumption and environmental pollution, have a serious impact on residents travel, alsorestricted the city developments. Urban intelligent transportation system as an effective way toaddress urban transport problems, with its strong carrying capacity, less the cost of inputs, wellallocation of resources as well as less the environmental pollution, etc., is commonly usedworldwide. China also attaches great importance to the development of public transport, but thepublic transportation industry still have out-dated management styles with outmoded technology,and poor quality of services. There is a certain gap between current system and the automated,intelligent public transportation system. This thesis aims to use modern high-tech to improve thequality of our public transport services and achieve the purpose to ease urban traffic problems.This thesis first introduces the background of the topic, followed by the worldwideIntelligent Public Transport Research, discusses the need for the establishment of intelligent busscheduling system on the significance of the subject. Secondly, according to the conditions ofone city’s public transportation system, demand of the intelligent public transport dispatchsystem, software functional requirements and nonfunctional requirements are analyzed. Then,based on demand analysis, the overall structure of the system and the subsystems of it, havegenerally designed. We went on to analyze data communications for the design ofcommunication protocols and network communication module. Finally, we get the Real-timescheduling module, which is one of the key modules, designed and tested. The real-timescheduling function to respond to emergencies has been basically achieved. |
