In this paper.both the physics model and mathematic model of the light intensity absorption and distribution in the LD side pumped solid state laser medium are set up.The effect of the different active medium’s absorption coefficent,distance between the diode and the laser medium and radius of laser medium on the light intensity distribution in the laser medium is analysed by MATLAB. According to the isotropic,axisymmetric crystals in polar coorinate time-varying heat conduction equations is derived from a unilateral pumpscase,we can get transient temperature analytical type. Based on the fundamental theory of heat transfer in medium,the transient temperature field in the laser medium of LD side pumped solid state laser is analyzed by the finite-element method.The temperature distribution of medium in the process of temperature rise and fall is calculated in a single pulse process. At the same time, the transient temperature distribution of laser medium and optical path difference are calculated in repeat pulse process.
