Being background by the internet of things, we analyze major causes of traffic accidents,combined with domestic and international research status of vehicle anti-collision, and comeup with car wireless communication mesh network-based positioning system. This systemachieves three functions, one of the positioning of the vehicle, two for the position of thevehicle speed and other information sent to the other vehicles, the third for all vehicles toform a wireless sensor network, the supervision of the vehicle.The core of system makes it possible that all cars can be formed as the organization ofthe sensor network, the core of which is the communication between the nodes. On theanalysis of the current short distance communication technology, based on the network, weuse SNAP network as a system of communication mode to design the hardware and softwareof the nodes.The hardware design mainly involves communication module and the choice of the waysof positioning. In this paper, we use ZICM2410module as SNAP network hardwarecommunication platform and GPS positioning as localization way. According to the choice ofcommunication module and positioning module, we design the system diagram, including thepower supply circuit, communication module minimum system and LCD display and audiocircuits.In the process of the software design, we study the SNAP network operating system, andintroduce the operating system’s SNAP interface function and its application developmentsoftware. According to the longitude and latitude information, we realize the localizationalgorithm between the two nodes, and program design using SNAPpy language to localizationalgorithm, GPS information read, LCD drive and the voice prompt. We basically realized thepositioning and communication function vehicles, in the scope of100meters.To summary and outlook, the system designed in this paper can implement thepositioning and communication of vehicles directly, form the vehicle sensor network. It cansupervise the vehicles driving conditions effectively in domestic, reduce traffic accidents, andquickly search perpetrator after traffic accident.
