With the continuous development of information technology today, the form of learning and reading has also been more and more diversified. Lots of new teaching models have been developed well. For the special group of dyslexia, we should try a variety of new electronic learning systems to help them.In this paper, we design an online E-learning website with virtual colored overlay for the reading disorders to improve their learning and reading ability, so that they can learning and reading more effectively and faster. This assistant system is designed for dyslexic children who are as the stages of learning English, their parents or teachers can guide and help them through the system as well. This paper is mainly divided into four parts. First, the needs of patients with dyslexia are analyzed. Second, according to the special requirements, the system structure of the e-learning system is determined, and the general design of the software has been made. Once again, the detailed design of the corresponding electronic learning system has been developed and the effect of this system has been displayed. Then, a system testing has been made. Finally, a scientific and fair evaluation has been carried out through statistical information and user survey of the practicality and effectiveness of the entire system.1) We have investigated the special needs of patients with dyslexia and analysis their needs Reading disorders special needs investigation. We may have never seen a real children suffering dyslexia in our lives. Therefore, we specifically visited the Suzhou Industrial Park fraternal charity school. This is very important for this site system design. In this paper, with the visit and investigation through the dyslexic children and their teachers in this fraternal charity school, according to the needs of this special group, a special e-learning system which can get involved to correct the dyslexia has been developed.2) We have defined the structure and modules of this e-learning systems, and give the general design of the system. The system is based on Windows+IIS+Access+IE development environment, and the basic structure of the system is the B/S three-tier structure, using ASP technology to create dynamic Web pages. The system is divided into seven modules, designed respectively for user login, virtual colored overlay, reading board, eye function exercises, dyslexia symptoms online assessment module, word learning and messageboard. Since the users are children suffering from dyslexia,a specifically virtual color overlay has been designed.3) We have completed the detailed design and give the implementation of the e-learning system. The description of the flowchart, the specific implementation process and the interface display has been given respectively for the seven functional modules of the system. The virtual colored overlay is the core of the entire system, this modules can achieve three main features:color adjustable, size adjustable and brightness adjustable. In addition, some special modules have been added for this special group, such as the games in eye function exercises module and the cartoon images in word learning module. At the same time, the flash animation and image processing software have been used to improve and optimize the interface, which can make the whole system more user-friendly and can improve the patient’s interest in learning.4) We have made a software testing and a user survey. The test results show that the system can meet the requirements of the needs analysis. Finally, a user survey has been made after the use of our e-learning system through the dyslexic children, datas show that the system is welcomed by this special population, as well as helpful.
