IOT(Internet of Things) is another information revolution following the computer industry, the Internet industry and the mobile communication industry, as a complete new field of technology. Being a new strategic industry, the development of IOT needs a large number of talents who have the IOT information technology. The huge need of talents is not matched with the rare talents supply.The national and international development of IOT is analyzed firstly, comparing with variety of developed platforms. The defects in the platform are high development threshold, long development cycle, bad ability of cross-platform, and low practical ability. Facing the problems, we designed the communication equipment supporting various operation systems, various sensors and various wireless communication equipments, integrating with many IOT key technologies into the IOT development platform such as embedded technology, cloud computing technology, sensing technology, middleware technology and wireless transmission network technology. More researchers and students are brought into the research and development for IOT by using this platform. It will improve the IOT theories, the applications and the construction of IOT in China.This paper is researched based on three system structures of IOT. The perception is mainly discussed in the sensor modules and the system design. The network layer is mainly discussed in the data transmission network comparing the wireless communication technologies such as ZigBee and3G. The application layer mainly uses Visual Studio2008, SQL Server2008, Windows Azure and C#. An attendance system based on RFID technology is developed with Socket technology, and this system is optimized with WCF Service technology. The application layer is mainly discussed in cloud computing technology, and the IOT information management system combining with the IOT platform technologies.The multiple systems designing methods are used from the demand analysis, the system design, the hardware selection, the key technology selection, the system transplantation and the application developments. The latest technology.Net Micro Framework is firstly introduced and completed in system transplantation. The IOT reference platform which can be used in teaching and researches is designed and developed with IOT key technologies.
