Virtual reality, with the features of immersion, interactivity and imagination, hasbeen widely used in many fields of skills training.The usage of Desktop VR skillstraining system is particularly prevalent. As lacking the research on the particularity ofcomplex skills in virtual reality environment, the designment of Desktop VR instructionsystem is lack of specificity on teaching strategies and training methods, therefore theefficiency and effectiveness of skills acquisition are both affected. So the research onVR supported skills training system to improve the effectiveness is very meaningful.As the problem on the design of VR supported skills training system, the articlestudied the theroy of five outcomes of learning and proposed the constitute elements ofcomplex skills by taking the methods of literature research and logical analysis. Goingwith the features of environment of VR, we studied formation theories of motor andmetal skills and proposed the specificities of skills training.Then we constructed aframework of VR supported complex skills training system based on the4C/ID model,and proposed teaching&learning strategies and training methods in connection with thecondition of learning of classification of learning outcomes. In order to verify the model,we designed and developed the dangerous chemicals storage industry skills trainingsystem.And trial and evaluation results show that this model is effective.
