| With the development of network technology and computer technology, Streaming Media has come to focus on Internet in1994.Tradition Library has charged the direction to Digital Library in the environment of fast development of internet technologies and computer technologies. This paper firstly summarizes the meanings and characteristics of Streaming Media, introduce some solutions of Streaming Media and analyze the advantage of application of Streaming Media on University Library.Secondly, it generally analyzes the elements including people, resources, technologies, services, funds and copyright which influence Streaming Media Information Service. Then conclude the condition which a good Streaming Media Information own.In order to know about the application of Streaming Media Information Service in University Library from a all-around viewsight, a survey by questionnaires and inquiring was taken in8"211" University Library. In this investigation,800readers and32librarians were inquired and the survey date was made statistical analysis. On the base of statistical analysis, conclude some problems from four directions.On the base of technical analysis, researching data and the theory. The paper has a gradually in-depth study on Streaming Media Information Service Model on University Library, it constructs information service model from the different directions:construction of resources, user participating interactive communication and personalized services. University Library need to strengthen the necessary training. publicity and some support mechanisms for users and librarians in the construction of Streaming Media Information service, increase safety audit to information resources, strengthen interaction with readers, guide the construction of services and resources with readers needs. So that can protect nature and diversity of Streaming Media Information service in University Library. Then give a specific strategy for Streaming Media Information Services in University Library. |
