| Scientific journal is an important component of scientific and technological works, with spreading the newest scientific and technological information and promoting scientific exchanges. Scientific journal displays the scientific life of researchers and the historical proceedings of scientific and technological developments. Nowadays, with the increasing of information resources, the full text journal databases were used more and more frequently to obtain literature information. However, the issues including using new technology to journal article retrieval, making comprehensive, precise and convenient retrieval have not been well addressed. This study proposed a plan based on the comprehensive application of semantic retrieval and visual navigation system, in order to achieve a more convenient and fast process.In the introduction of the thesis, the general researching background is introduced. The detailed contents in the introduction include the objective and significance of this study, and the literature review of the semantic retrieval and visual navigation. The researching method, technological plan and chapter contents are also described in the introduction part.Chapter2mainly describes the key technology and principle of semantic retrieval, which including the concept of ontology, the installing and using of Protege, the classification of ontology, and language of describe ontology. Moreover, the definition, method and vision technology of visual navigation is described.Chapter3introduces an investigation, which was performed to obtain the information about systematic demand. The respondents are librarians and graduate students majoring in information management in Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing University of Science and Technology. Based on the investigation, the semantic retrieval and visual navigation system is designed.Chapter4overview of system requirements, design principles to user demand, analysis of operate processes, system functions, design system architecture and database structure.Chapter5describes the configuration of semantic retrieval and visual navigation system of journal article and the frame of datasheet. The system includes a query database established by using Protege, a Jena package-based inference component. The platform of digital query system is based on the simultaneous semantic retrieval and visual navigation, which can detailedly display the query results.Chapter6mainly describes how to choose the appropriate evaluating indicator and give an example to accomplish a evaluating indicator process.Chapter7summarizes the advantage and disadvantage of the design of semantic retrieval and visual navigation system. The further research contents are also discussed. |
