Along with the development of measuring technique, Non-contacted Three-dimensional scanner has been widely used in fields of product transformation, cultural relic’s replication and medical diagnosis. The scanner can obtain object’s point cloud data quickly, and a series of data disposals are then adopted in modeling software to rebuild the object’s3-D model, such as data integration, feature extraction and surface fitting. This paper devotes to improve scanning accuracy and speed of Non-contacted Three-dimensional scanning system and proposes a method of scanning and modeling for various complex type surface, which meets the digitization requirement of high-accuracy, high-efficiency and fitting for every surface.The deviation of structure parameters in scanning system can cause object coordinate measurement errors. The paper amends the camera lens distortion to improve the scanning accuracy on the basis of studying on triangulation principle and camera lens distortion principle. In order to reduce errors brought by rotating object manually,2-Axis rotary system is designed and applied together with3-D scanner. According to that, the closely approximate point cloud data are obtained quickly and accurately, and quantitative scanning is fulfilled.During the scanning, some unavoidable external factors bring about a massive point cloud data and noise, which increases the difficulty of modeling. In the modeling course of carbide indexable insert, the paper makes a research on ICP algorithm principle and NURBS surface generation principle. Point cloud data, which by Geomagic Studio have undergone processing at Point Phase such as de-noising, reducing and matching, are transformed into an ideal surface model at Polygon Phase and Shape Phase. Feature extraction can improve design efficiency and the function of product at Fashion Phase.
