The stereo feeling and Interactivity are the main characteristics of stereoscopic television (3DTV) system. The users can actually feel the depth of all objects in the scene, which bringing telepresence to them; The users also have free choice of viewing angle, and enjoy the feeling of roaming at will. Especially multiple views of3DTV system that make viewers need not wear eyewear to see more true stereo images in different position, it is becoming to the key of research and the main direction of the3DTV system development.Based on the research of stereoscopic display technology and the research of stereoscopic television system, The paper proposed a multi-views3DTV system which can make the audience enjoy high quality3D movies and videos without using stereoscopic eyes. Because of two main reasons, The paper finally proposed a nine-views3DTV system. The first reason is the pressure of data processing and transmission increase violently when the views increase. The second reason is autostereoscopic display device which the researcher make use of is nine views autostereoscopic display.The production of nine views stereoscopic video, the transmission of nine views stereoscopic video, the playing of nine views stereoscopic through Stereoscopic display are the most important parts of nine views3DTV system. The paper focus the research on the production and playing of nine views stereoscopic video. The paper use virtual camera filming stereoscopic scene to realize the production of nine views stereoscopic video. In this section the research is focus on the calibration algorithm for virtual camera and the constraint algorithm for stereoscopic scence and the generation algorithm of the nine views stereoscopic video. The paper make use of the technology of DirectShow to develop nine views stereoscopic video player, In this section the research is focus on the design of DirectShow’s Filter Graph and amplify algorithm for image and the nine views stereoscopic video’s composition methods for autostereoscopic display device. Finally, The paper make use of nine views stereoscopic player to enjoy nine views stereoscopic video through autostereoscopic display device based on lenticular lens. The paper also test nine views3DTV system and analysis the results.
