With the widening of the grid, distribution automation is becoming more and morecomplex structure, making the traditional management methods become increasinglyunsuited to the needs of the modern grid management. After the "Electricity Law"announcement, this problem became more prominent in the grid. Distributionautomation must be preceded by a complete distribution network fault simulationsystem.In the distribution system, the main purpose of fault management is to reduce theoutage time. The following article introduced not only an overview of the distributionnetwork development, but also the fault management subsystem with the relatedtechnology. Moreover, a fault simulation system based on the object-oriented Delphiprogramming language was introduced. This system can simulate field distributionautomation, and automatically detect failures, find out the reason, and finally restore thesupply of non-fault zone. The design of the system can effectively use modern scientificmethods to improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply to satisfy the demandof the industrial and agricultural production, and turned out to benefit our lives as wellas the reform and opening up policy.Firstly, it introduced the running characteristics and the basic structure of thedistribution network, showed the typical characteristics of the distribution networkperformance failure. These works made a good start for the fault diagnosis algorithm.According to the characteristics of a variety of fault sources of information, andbuild the overall demand for distribution network fault management and diagnosticsystems, and system outline design, including systems theory, software architecture andsoftware data structure, functional planning, design principles. Distribution networkmanagement and diagnostic systems are based on the outline design, programming. Thesoftware failure data management, distribution network fault analysis, fault type, thenature of the section of the judgment function, and protection/switch action behavioranalysis capabilities. Make a failure analysis report through a comprehensive analysis ofthe fault information. At present, the system has a distribution carried out by the communications test, the test results show that: the software in the system data to sendand receive normal, good compatibility.Finally, in the summary of the article, this is outlook for electricity powerinformation management system development. Research and development ofdistribution automation systems will support power supply enterprises dramaticallyimprove work efficiency, it also brings great change to the grid structure and improvethe level of supply reliability and power distribution automation. It turned out to be agreat social and economic benefit with the optimization of power supply.
