The numerical simulation technique is an emerging designed technology for semiconductor devices. Numerical methods play an important role in the numerical simulation. The thesis uses a non-coupled algorithm to do the numerical analysis for semiconductor devices, example as diodes. Then obtain some physical properties of the diode. Uncoupled method requires a small memory and fast, in some cases. Also introduce other excellent software which is used to simulate devices. And do depths research of the code. Then derive the algorithm which is in the code. Use different ways to simulate the same semiconductor devices, and compare the results with the result calculated by the author. The conclusions prove this algorithm to be a certain reference value ultimately. The main work focuses on theoretical analysis of semiconductor devices and the numerical simulation of computer. The main contents are below:1. Analyze and summary the method of the computer numerical simulation of semiconductor devices. And what have what advantages compared with conventional semiconductor device design method.2. Detailed derivation of the mathematical and physical basis of the semiconductor device. Meshing algorithm used in this paper and the use of the finite volume method.3. First described the entire process of numerical simulation, and also the discrete process of the semiconductor basic equations, the algorithm of the finite volume, numerical simulation algorithm.4. Modeling the diode based on the theory, and using C and C++as the tool to program the above algorithm. And use Matlab to get several plots by the derived data finally.
