With the circuit integrated electronic components more and more, the power ofcircuit get higher, and the heat flux of circuit also get larger, that decrease the workinglife of circuit. Design a cooling device is an effective solution to solve the problem ofheat transfer for circuit. A cooling device cools the circuit, electronic components inthe circuit can work in low-temperature condition, working life of circuit would beextended. There are lots of microchannels exist in nature. liquid flows in thesemicrochannels consumes less power and have an effective way to exchange energy,Liquid cooling device as a kind of effective cooling device which has been widelydiscussed also need an effective way to exchange energy and consumes less power toflow. It can learn form the natural microchannels.Inspired by the wing vein of Lepidoptera and leaf vein of trees, two designmentsof bionic microchannel for electronic chips cooling are developed. Lepidoptera wingvein and leaf vein has been measured. Observations have been analyzed according toHagen-Poiseuille Law. Observations and analysis determine the parameters of twobionic microchannels.Using fluid dynamics finite element analysis software (FLO EFD.Lab10.0)analyzes two bionic microchannels and improves it. These two bionic microchannelscompar with fractal-like branching microchannel and parallel microchannel, itprovides a stronger heat transfer capability, lower liquid flow power consume. Finally, set up experimental devices for two bionic microchannels andfractal-like branching microchannel and parallel microchannel. Test these four kindsof microchannels prove the two bionic microchannels have more effective flow andstronger heat transfer.
