With the development of electronic device, the specific power of electroniccomponent has been rising up for recent decades, it directly lead to a surge in the heatflux of our chips. Under this situation, the cooling demands of our chips are graduallyout of the reach of conventional cooling method by forced convection. If the heatamount on our chips couldn’t be released timely, this may cause some unwanted result, such as thermal stress failure, logical error, which will make our equipment highlyunstable. So, it’s really important for us to find an effective way for heat transportationon our chips. This paper is based on the microflow methods, though we apply some bionicsmethods to construct our microchannel heat exchangers. The heat exchangers can bedivided into two categories: first, porous media flow; and then, microchannel flow. For the porous media flow heat exchanger, we have analyzed the heat and masstransfer characteristics under different porosity, made a estimation of permeability andpress-drop with the help of Carman-Kozeny model and Darcy law, made a modificationof Carman-Kozeny model based on our CFD experiment result, and at last, we havemade a multi pore diameter optimization design for the porous media with unify porediameter we mentioned before. We also have made a comparison of heat and mass transfer characteristics betweenmulti and single layer fractal microchannel heat exchanger with the identical inlet massflow and bottom heat flux, set up control experiment between the single layer fractalmicrochannel and Fibonacci spiral microchannel heat exchangers, and also analyzed theheat and mass transfer performance of single layer fractal microchannel under theinfluence of pulsating flow with different frequency. At last, we have made some samples of our microchanel heat exchangers by dryplasma etching, set up our experimental platform, and analyzed the influence ofpulsating flow with different inlet mass flow and different pulsating frequency on theheat and mass transfer characteristics of these samples.
