Filter is a kind of important microwave devices, which plays an irreplaceable role in microwave communication. With the development of science and technology of the world, human material is rich,so microwave systems is demanded more and more.Miniaturization, high frequency band is the future trend of development. Because of these things,filter had the higher request. Thus miniaturization and low cost became researchers’ filter goal. The miniaturization of waveguide filters are discussed in this paperWaveguide filters which appears as early as the filter types, has its own characteristics and advantages.Its Q value is higher, but has a relatively large volume. This paper proposes a frequency surface choice structure. This structure can make the original structure of the waveguide filter reduce50%volume, and not easily processed complex structure, can be applied in the project.In recent years, frequency selective surfaces that is a microwave structure devices a hotspot in the research of directions. In the military stealth, Frequency selective surfaces plays very good demand effect, especially in the antenna used widely. But frequency selective surfaces is used relatively small to make a choice structure in filter frequency. This paper made the attempt that in waveguide recessed inside join frequency selective surfaces structure. Frequency selective surfaces structure not by the electromagnetic wave through continuous reflection coupling, up to a band of the electromagnetic wave of choice.In the article the back part, this paper gives a concrete example. This type of join frequency selective surfaces of the filter structure with simulation design, processing commissioning, basic to confirm miniaturization filter can choose to frequency surface structure to achieve the effect.
