Waveguide diplexer is an important component in a modern radio system. electromagnetic environment has become increasingly complex with the increasing of radio frequency, diplexer indicators are increasingly high requirements, not only have a good insertion loss and rectangular coefficient, also requires a good harmonic suppression in order to reduce the impact on the radio system. In practical, filter structure also called a compact, small size.In this paper, in order to design a Ku-band waveguide diplexer, we discuss the basic theory of filter. The mode matching method used to analyze the structure of such as waveguide discontinuity. Using the mode analysis method to analyze the waveguide structure which we are familiar with. Based on mode matching method, in order to design a Ku-band diplexer, whose insertion loss is less than 1dB and proximal inhibition required-70dB, its structure contains waveguide bend, so that filters into the folding-type arrangement, greatly reduces the volume of diplexer . In order to suppress high-order harmonic, using the structure of the ridge waveguide bandpass filter as a harmonic suppression filter, we have good results.
