In recent years,5g communication technology has gradually become civil and commercial. As the communication frequency is higher and higher, the loss of microstrip circuit will be more and more large, which will lead to a series of problems. Therefore, the low loss characteristics of microwave cavity will become more advantageous. The traditional machining technology such as CNC(computer numerical control metal milling)and electrical discharge machining(EDM)have larger weight and volume. With the increase of precision requirements, the processing cost is also increasing, and it is unable to complete the processing of some irregular shapes. This is in contradiction with the trend of lightweight and miniaturization of microwave devices. The problems faced by traditional technology should be handed over to new ones Manufacturing process to solve. At the same time,3D printing technology has become more and more mature with the progress of technology. Its advantages in manufacturing low weight and small volume devices are incomparable with the traditional technology.3D printing usually adopts additive manufacturing technology, which makes its processing accuracy reach submillimeter level.Due to its advantages of integrated molding and processing materials,3D printing technology has more advantages in processing devices with complex structure and fine size compared with CNC processing. In this paper, the design of microwave passive devices based on 3D printing is the research topic. The Ka band ridge gap waveguide filter antenna,X-band 4-order spherical cavity filter and 3-order spherical CT structure filter are mainly studied and designed.Due to the complex structure, the traditional processing technology can not complete the processing,so the 3D printing technology is used to complete the processing and testing of the devices. The research content of this paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter mainly describes the importance of microwave passive devices in engineering and the application of 3D printing technology in RF microwave. In the second chapter, the basic principle of two port network and the related characteristics and technical specifications of waveguide filter and waveguide filter antenna are discussed in detail. The third chapter analyzes the difficulties and limitations of 3D printing technology by describing the basic technical principles, development history, different types and practical scenarios in current engineering technology. In the fourth chapter, the basic principle and analysis process of gap waveguide are introduced. The design process of Ka band ridge gap waveguide filter antenna,X-band 3-order spherical cavity CT structure filter and 4-order spherical cavity filter antenna are designed. The simulation and optimization are carried out by CST.In the fifth chapter,we test the object processed by 3D printing technology, and analyze the disadvantages and advantages of 3D printing information technology. The sixth chapter summarizes the main work of the paper and provides ideas and prospects for the follow-up development.
