Metamaterials is also called artificial electromagnetic material. It has the super electromagnetic feature which is not exsit in the natural material. As a design concept of a material, it has become a hot spot in the past two decades in various acdemical research world fast. For example, the application research of metamaterials in antenna miniaturization and electromagnetic wave’s invisible state. At present, the main focus is on the design of broadband material in low section, but the design of broadband is on the infant step. So there is a long way to go for the realization of material of broadband. In addition, there is litter relative report on the polarization stability research. For the application research of metamaterials in the antenna, it is focus on the antenna miniaturization and has little report on broadening antenna bandwidth.This thesis is based on the setting above and the super electromagnetic feature. We study and design the broadband radar wave absorbing material and broadband dual frequency microstrip patch antenna. This paper introduce Ansoft HFSS13.0software to design and optimizing simulate the mentioned radar wave absorbing material and antenna structure and give a real object processing and test to the antenna. The result of absorbing material simulation shows that between the frequency of1GHz-60GHz, it has obvious reduction effect of RCS on metal plate panel and the result of antenna experiment shows that when the metmaterials is applied to the antenna design and assure the effect on original antenna working feature is little it can deduce the resonance frequency point and working bandwidth of broadening antenna.Details are as the follows:Chapter Ⅰintroduces the research setting and present application status of relative content and the main work of this thesis.Chapter Ⅱ has a brief introduction of basic theory of radar wave absorbing material and microstrip antenna. Chapter III based on the Ω-type and CSRR distinctive material it designs the broadband and polarization stability wave material and gives a relative design result and brief analysis.Chapter IV introduces another main study content in this paper. It promotes three low sections and compact broadband dual frequency microstrip based on the SRRs distinctive material. It also has processing and test on antenna structure.Chapter V concludes the major work in this thesis.
