Navigation and positioning applications plays an increasingly important role in national economic development and improvement of people’s living. Existing navigation and positioning applications are local applications for special group, such as specific application enterprise, organization and so on. The design and development of the application infrastructure and software system are based on the existing applications. Based on the above design, the navigation and positioning services showing the character of unity and specificity can’t provide integrated services for multi-enterprise and the public. The future direction of the navigation and positioning application is integrated, large-scale, providing location-based services for multi-enterprise and the general public. In order to achieve that, it’s necessary to study new technologies and develop navigation and positioning comprehensive application integration system for the public.The paper considers navigation and positioning comprehensive application integration system as a goal, combined with popular Cloud Computing, using SOA concept to design navigation and positioning comprehensive application integration system based on Cloud Computing and study the number of key technologies which can implement the system. The main work of this paper is as follows:1) Designing and implementing "private navigation cloud"—navigation and positioning comprehensive application integration system based on Cloud Computing. The paper designs and implements "private navigation cloud" focusing on Cloud Computing, combined with its operating characteristics in the navigation and positioning applications. The architecture has many functions such as the support of business strategy, resource monitoring, service migration, rapid deployment of the business and so on, which upgrades the local applications facing the special group to the comprehensive applications facing the general public;2) Studying SOA and RESTful Web Service. Study REST architectural style which follows the design concepts of SOA and adopt RESTful Web Service to implement integration of a variety of navigation and positioning applications in seamless. In other words, any applications can connect to the system flexibly in the form of independent services;3) Studying analysis and forecast. In the cloud environment, service providers hire hardware provided by cloud platform provider such as servers, CPU, memory, disk and so on. If any resource occupied by business operating exceeds its filing, the system will appear resource depletion. The paper studies analysis and forecast to solve this problem. In this way, users can understand the resource depletion which will appear in the system and take measures to deal with it. Studying analysis, forecast and warning can make the system more intelligent and humanity;4) The implementation of the system. Based on Cloud Computing, adopt RESTful Web Service to develop SaaS-oriented navigation and positioning software so that it provides the integrated navigation and positioning services in the form of service for the public.
