In2009, the college graduates group with low-income called "Ant Tribe" came into the vision of public."Ant Tribe" became the focus of the mass media because of its unique and embarassing identity and the deep social background.And then quickly led to a public opinion boom. With more media involved, the influence was extended, the reproduction of "Ant Tribe" deviated from the original track, the image of the "Ant Tribe" is catabolized in the dissemination process. So the correct opinion to the public is influenced.Based on this, this paper investigated the media image of the "Ant Tribe", applied the theory of communication studies, sociology, cultural studies, and other related theories, explored the media image construction "Ant Tribe" from two dimensions of frame and discourse analysis.Firstly, the paper revealed the overview of the "Ant Tribe", summarized the multiple factors led to "Ant Tribe", including the serious imbalance in supply and demand of job market and the social disparity derived from outdated household registration system. So the educated youth working in the foot of class,endure more pressure, which play a game between dream and social reality under the worrying situation. Furthermore, the mass media commented them in the whole social culture. Juding from the intergenerational divide,they are post-80s generation youth group, and juding from the differentiation of social structures, they are poor second-generation, corresponding to the "official second generation" or "rich second generation" in terms of social disparity. Under the market economy, they are also " pigeonhole liver " created by the excessive property price. Secondly, the different mass medias recording and reproduction of the path of "Ant Tribe" can be described as different forms. The general books focused on the analysis of social survey, report for living situation and views of all walks of life with the profound content and more information. The traditional newspapers tended to case reports and policy advocacy, which make comprehensive comments of causes and countermeasures as a representative of online community, Baidu Post Bar showed all kinds of opinions about the "Ant Tribe" and it was normal that different point of view had a confrontation each other. However, the image of the "Ant Tribe" reproduced by the mass media was not conformed to reality completely. It is obviously very subjective. For example, the "framework" is a common construction strategy by the media."Ant Tribe" groups are displayed in public in accordance with the established intent of the media and in a specific pattern. Through a combination of quantitative and qualitative research,the writer found that there are varying degrees of sadness preferences while mass media reporting "Ant Tribe". Meanwhile the reports masked the heterogeneity and divercity of "Ant Tribe".The "discourse" is another important strategy using by the mass media. The mass media in the process of construct the image of the "Ant Tribe" is mainly characterized by the following discourseparadigm:the mainstream political discourse, the discourse of the social elite as well as the underlying populist discourse.The image of "Ant Tribe" is built in influence of the deep factor. The structuring of media made the "Ant Tribe" lack the ways of self-expression and become the "others" written and overlooked by media. Even the media organization made the "Ant Tribe" the dual role of "favor-receiver "and "sufferer" in the political and economic force. And professionalism and social responsibility of media made the "Ant Tribe" into agenda setting, in order to get the widespread concern by the government and the public and push social change and development. Then the building image of "Ant Tribe" is the product of power operation and discourse mixture of the concept of media professionals, political propaganda, business logic, cultural elites and ordinary peopleFinally, this paper indicated that the media, especially the mass media may lucubrate the people with equalization pose, provide the all-around and extension image of the "Ant Tribe" to the public, and give the right of speech. Then the communion is strengthened between the different social people and the well development is accelerated.
