Web Based Network Management Model And Implementation Technology Research

At present, the scale of computer network continues to expand, the structure of it becomes more and more complex and the function of it is gradually strengthened which makes the network management become very important and onerous. Facing the increased new demand of network management, the traditional centralized management model which is based on the managers or agent is faced with many problems. In this case, a kind of new, flexible, easy-to-use and powerful network management system is needed. And this kind of system has characteristics such as portability, operability and scalability. However the traditional network management software which is based on SMMP agreement is based on C/S structure and this management is centralized. Obviously, this kind of management style is inconvenience. With the appearance and development of Java and Web technology, this problem is solved. We combine Web technology and SNMP network management and put forward a more convenient and practical distributed management mode which is based on B/S structure. This can enable the management personnel to control the network at any node with Web browser.Based on the detailed analysis of the SNMP protocol, firstly the traditional computer Network Management system structure was analyzed, and then based on the modern Network Management demand characteristic, the theory and technology of the Network Management was studied; at the same time, combined with the distributed object technology in Network Management application, Web-based Network Management Model was put forward. This Model is to fuse Network Web technology with the existing Management technology and to provide more distributed, more convenient and stronger Network Management mode for Network Management operator. It is an innovation of network management project, which will strongly improve the way of managing network of an administrator. Then this paper discussed the analysis and design of the system model, and discussed the key technology of system implementation, the last part of the paper presented the implement of the basic function of the system, including Web page of management operation for users, communication of Web server and client, packing and parsing of transmittal data, data collection of manager to agent, network topology discovery, etc. At last, the conclusion of the paper was safely made, in which some shortcomings were pointed out, some problems about the system model to be studied and reached were put forward. Meanwhile, the paper took a new look of the development prospect of network management.
