Multi-phase flow is an extensive study topic recent years, differ from the stability of the single phase flow, the main feature of the multi-phase flow is the diversity of different phases, that is the instability of the interfaces in the flow characteristic. As an indispensable segment in the industrial process, the guiding effect of monitoring technology of multi-phase flow cannot be ignored. In order to improve the manufacturing quality and realize the controllability, choose a stable and reliable industrial process measuring technology seems to be so important.In this article, the Electrical Capacitance Tomography was applied to the online measurement of debris flow by using it’s feaature of visualization. With ragard to the analysing of measurement data, mathmatical methods were used. Furethmore, with the help of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) simulation software, construct debris multi-phase flow and obtain simulation result. Finally, the measurement result will be compared to the simulation result to make sure that the measurement result is reliable.Furethmore, the ECT was also applied to the grain deliver. Design and manufacture the ECT measuring system to measure the deliver of grain (millet as example). Utilize the electronic scale, we can estimate the flow rate of millet, and by comparing the ECT measuring result with the estimate result, we can know whether the measuring is feasible. In addition, ECT was also be used to measure the pulverized coal in the mega unit pneumatic transmission.
