Nowadays, as the computer technology highly developed, using computer to analyze, optimize and simulate the real energy engineering system performance plays an important role in solving engineering issues. And the construction of the mathematical modal and the realization of the program is the foundation of the whole process. At present, the software technique and performance of the modeling and analysis of energy engineering system abroad is much more powerful than that in our country, for they have abundant fund and professional research group. Therefore, compared to the domestic personal shift software, the products of the foreign companies exceed that in our company in the visual configuration function, graphic display interface, versatility and strong portability; However, they are too expensive for the domestic enterprises. Although domestic researchers have made some achievements by unremitting efforts, their products still have many shortcomings, such as lack of generality, strong dependence and unintelligence. They are generally developed for a particular study object, with poor portability and can’t achieve the versatility. If the structure of the system changes, the equation has to be deduced again, and the mathematical model of the system has to be rebuilt. Even the program has to be partially or entirely rewritten. Therefore, based on the existed research and development results of the domestic and foreign energy engineering system performance simulation platform, taking the universality, intelligence and also can set the professional requirements of different areas as its goal, this paper put forward a concept that taking Matlab/Simulink tool as its platform to realize the steady/dynamic performance simulation research of different energy system through the thread of modular modeling and self-defining relevant professional modules so as to achieve both the universality and professionality. The so-called modular modeling, of which the basic idea is to use a few module to describe large systems, which include many equipments and subsystems, and solve the complex model by means of computer. The prominent characteristics of this method is to allow the model establishment of the module itself very simple, but through the different combination of modules, it can construct any system model as complex as possible. Then, we can transform the model of complicated system into some model of simple subsystems and parts, which means to divide the whole problem into parts, namely transform one complex problem into many simple ones. As a result we can reduce the complexity of the modeling and there’s no need for the users to be quite familiar with the system. And the self-defined functions, elfevidently, is self-defining and creating corresponding modules according to the objective need of the users. In order to realize the idea, this paper established the simulation model library of some basic components of the energy engineering system firstly, which include:simulation model of the energy transfer components such as pipenet, energy input devices such as pump and fan, energy output equipments such as turbine, energy exchange components such as heat exchanger and parameter model of the energy transfer medium, etc. Then, this paper chooses some typical energy engineering system to do the steady/dynamic simulation with this method, which include: the steady/dynamic simulation of a chemical process of large scale, the natural gas gathering and transportation system simulation of the Jingbian first station-Baoji station, Jingbian first station-Weinan station in Shanxin Province, the steady state performance simulation of an oil field water injection system, the steady state performance simulation of a circular pipe network heating system and the simulation of compressor surge system, etc; finally, as the actual engineering application of this method, this paper studies the modular modeling of a MW level re-heat steam turbine thermal design calculation system in the designed condition.
