The fermentation process is the process of using microorganisms life activities inaerobic or anaerobic conditions to reproduce microbial body itself or preparationmetabolites and secondary metabolites. Through the fermentation process we canacquire many humans can’t or it is difficult to obtain synthetic material by any othermeans. As one of the four major biological technology’s technology system,fermentation technology is the key in the biological science and technology industrial.The fermentation process control technology is control the temperature, PH andrelated environmental parameters in order to improve the process of biologicalreaction using related technical means, for the whole of the fermentation processexperiment or production, The fermentation process control technology is veryimportant.Our Country greatly behind the advanced countries in fermentation processcontrol technology level. That mainly embodies in the level of automation overallthe fermentation process is not high, the control is not accurate, even some fermentedworkshop use the traditional controlmTethod,the operating personnel to achievenutrition material adding or adjust the control parameters for fermentation processonly with experience. However, the microorganism fermentation is the biologicalchemical reaction process, with nonlinearness and lag and so on characteristics, it isdifficult to build the accurate mathematical model for fermentation process, andbecause of the current technology development restricting, some can reflect the mainparameters of fermentation process cannot be directly measured online, that makes thecontrol process more complicated.In recent years, with the booming development in microelectronics technology,detection technology, automatic control technology and computer technology,microbial fermentation process control also will be automatic, digital and intelligent.Based on this background, this paper see glutamic acid fermentation process controlas a breakthrough, see the glutamic acid fermentation as research object, and study theprocess, use of advanced control strategy and the soft measurement techniques, todesign the Fermentation Process Control System. This paper studies the glutamic acidfermentation process in the first, select the related controllable parameters,constructing the Glutamate Fermentation Process Control System. In consideration ofthe delay of fermentation temperature object and the model is uncertainty, this articlewill coalesce cascade control and fuzzy PID control, study the temperature controlstrategy for large fermentation tank, and using the simulation results verify the feasibility of the control strategy. In consideration of the concentration of bacteria inthe fermentation process is important parameters, but can not be measured directlyonline, this paper adopts the RBF neural network modeling method, study the onlinesoft measurement methods for concentration of bacteria. Finally, this paper studiedthe microorganism fermentation process monitoring system.
