Nowadays, under the situation of the rapid developing of telecommunication industry, continuous changing of organizational system, and the fierce competition, the telecommunication operators’ business mode has changed from "technology driven" to "market driven" and "customer-driven", which requires operators to adopt a customer-centric strategy, personalizing service and solution according to the actual needs from the customers. Therefore, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has become the effective and powerful tool to increase revenue and profits, and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty for telecommunication operators.In the customer relationship management process, in order to make timely and correct business decision, it must get and use relevant data to support decision-making. In recent years, data mining is developed rapidly, which is one of the most means to archive the goal. Data mining owns important application value in domestic telecommunication industry.This article focuses on how China’s telecommunication operators to carry out and use the data mining technology to enhance their competitiveness. Research focused on discretized data, Rough Set and Fuzzy Set are applied to the DM(Data Mining), combining with research in the practical needs of business, put forward data mining modes for customer value and customer retention of China’s telecommunication industry.Hope that this research can make certain reference for improving the data mining application in the telecommunication industry in China.
